about
"Toxic" is a song about loving someone, while knowing that they are destroying who you really are. It combines personal details with generalizations about life and relationships. The song combines an airy piano, jangly 12 string guitars, and loud rock drums into a melody driven indie rock tune.
In 2014, Isaac Anderson cranked up his Tascam 688 MidiStudio Cassette Recorder, a cheap Blue Condenser, and some beat up instruments and created the first iteration of the track. As you can imagine, that track wasn't really up to being released. Finally, in 2018, Isaac scraped together all of the resources he had into making this song a reality. Through financial strain, personal struggles, and a bunch of broken tape machines (for real, it started to become a whole thing), the song is finally finished. Now... he just have to actually find people that want to listen to that sort of thing.
